Billplz + SmartB — FPX money, matched to the invoice.

Billplz is how a great many Malaysian businesses get paid, and FPX online banking is how their customers prefer to pay. SmartB takes the settlement side of that and lines it up against your invoices, so a batched bank-in becomes a list of bills you can actually point at.

The bill was paid. Proving which one is the work.

FPX moves money straight from your customer’s bank, and Billplz confirms the bill was paid. What eventually reaches your account is a batch — a run of bills, net of charges, arriving as one figure. Finance then has to prove which invoices that figure covers, chase the ones it doesn’t, and explain the difference at audit. It is the same reconciliation problem SmartB was built for, wearing a Malaysian gateway’s clothes.

What SmartB does

Your Billplz collections, tied to your ledger

Batched bank-ins split back to bills

Settlement and payout data is pulled into SmartB and matched to the invoices it settles, so a single credit in your bank resolves into the collections behind it.

  • One settlement figure resolved into individual bills
  • Bank line, bill and invoice held together
  • Nothing left sitting in a suspense account

Invoices marked paid on evidence

A payment record on its own is a claim; a matched settlement is proof. SmartB closes the invoice off the settlement, not off someone remembering to tick it.

  • Receivables reflect money actually settled
  • Short and duplicate payments flagged, not absorbed
  • Fewer customers chased for bills already paid

Gateway charges where they belong

What you collect and what you keep are different numbers. SmartB carries the deduction through to the sale so margin is stated after the cost of collecting it.

  • Charges attributed to the collections that incurred them
  • Gross collected and net received both visible
  • Net margin stated after collection charges

Built for how Malaysia pays

FPX behaves differently from card — bank-led, batch-settled, and dominant among local buyers. SmartB is built by a Malaysian team around that reality rather than around an overseas default.

  • FPX collections treated as a first-class case
  • Local bank workflows recognised in reconciliation
  • Ringgit reporting your accountant already recognises

e-Invoicing and the audit trail

The same records that reconcile your collections issue and submit your MyInvois e-invoices, so tax work draws on the numbers finance already trusts.

  • e-Invoices submitted to MyInvois without a separate portal
  • Consistent records for tax and audit
  • Confirm your own obligations with LHDN or a qualified tax advisor

Questions, answered

Is SmartB usable with Billplz right now?

Yes — bring your Billplz collection and settlement data into SmartB and reconcile, invoice and report in one place today. Direct automatic sync is coming soon.

We collect mostly by FPX. Does that change anything?

It is the case we expect. FPX settles in batches rather than transaction by transaction, and splitting those batches back into individual bills is exactly the job SmartB does.

What happens to a payment that doesn’t match?

It is surfaced as an exception with the settlement line and candidate invoices attached, so a person decides with the evidence in front of them instead of hunting for it.

Can we issue LHDN e-invoices for these sales?

Yes — MyInvois e-invoices are issued and submitted from inside SmartB. What your business specifically must do, and by when, should be confirmed with LHDN or a qualified tax advisor.

Collect by FPX. Close the invoice with proof.
